Paiya is a romantic movie spinning around shiva (Karthi). He goes to bangalore for finding a job. There he acidentally  meets tamanna  but she fades away in the crowd. Then in a shopping mall, and finally she meets her at his interview place. But he could talk to her in all these places. He goes with the car his friend  borrowed from car rental for picking up its owner at the airport. There he sees the girl being led by a bearded man looking for  a taxi. He suddenly takes them leaving behind the person whom he was there to pick up. The man keeps scolding tamannah and she bears all silently. Then the car stops at the petrol pump and the man goes out for telephoning, charu(tamannah) asks him to drive the car leaving the man behind. They are on an escapade then.
